Your role

You will join our Perth office as a Paralegal to work specifically with our

Energy & Resources

practice group, working closely with Partner

Gerard Woods

and his team supporting key client, CITIC.

Gerard leads the Allens team advising CITIC on a number of commercial and contentious matters related to the Sino Iron Project in Western Australia.

As a Paralegal you will:

- conduct legal research;
- draft various legal and commercial documents;
- complete court filings;
- assemble briefs to counsel; and
- execute other legal administrative tasks.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity available as either full-time or part-time (four days per week). Hybrid working (60% in the office) is how we work however flexibility matters at Allens, so if you are seeking hybrid working or are looking for flexibility in your work, we would be happy to discuss what arrangements would work best for you.

About you

You will have:

- Experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or commercial, in-house legal environment;
- A JD equivalent legal qualification;
- A demonstrated interest in commercial law;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- A collaborative approach to work and the ability to problem solve;
- The ability to prioritise effectively and work to deadlines; and
- A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others.
