Perth, Western Australia Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Full time $60,000 - $90,000 per year

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is central to Western Australia's justice system, delivering independent criminal prosecutions and confiscation services.

We are recruiting experienced paralegals and administrative staff to join our Legal Practice Support branch which provides vital support to state prosecutors across criminal and appellate matters. The team includes skilled managers, supervisors, paralegals and support officers.

What we are looking for:

· Proven leadership, including mentoring and training in paralegal or administrative roles.

· Strong communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures.

· Strong skills in prioritising tasks and team collaboration.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a recruitment pool. This pool will run for a period of twelve months and may be used to fill other similar permanent and fixed-term full-time and part-time vacancies if they arise and subject to business needs.

About the Role

As a paralegal you will play an important role in supporting the State's most serious criminal prosecutions and contribute to the team's efficiency. Working closely with state prosecutors you will help prepare cases, solve problems and progress matters. Your strong administration or paralegal experience will ensure high standards within the team and your interest in pursuing a career as a paralegal will drive your commitment to this role.
