Reporting to the Head of Finance (Deputy CFO), this newly created role will lead a large team (Circa 25) of talented finance professionals across business partnering and corporate strategic finance. It will provide alignment between CFA’s budget and business planning cycle, managing relationships with budget holders, CFA Executives, internal management committees and the Board. Maintaining forward estimates, establishing robust budgetary and financial management controls as well as overall fiscal management ($350 million in revenue and in excess of $1.5 billion in assets) to ensure the financial sustainability of the CFA in the medium to long term will also be crucial.

Further responsibilities will see a focus on improving the financial management capability of key budget holders across the organisation whilst strengthening the relationships with other agencies within the Victorian emergency management sector and Government Departments. There will be an opportunity to work on large scale change and transformation projects and drive new initiatives that positively impact broader capability, process and system optimization.
