The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity to join as the Head of Group Financial Planning and Analysis based in our Melbourne or Sydney office, The Head of Group FP&A is responsible for running the budgeting and forecasting process within the Vocus Group along with developing and maintaining the group corporate model. This role will be working closely with the CFO and GM Performance & Planning along with other finance leaders within the business.
What you’ll be doing day-to-day
- Strategic Financial Planning: Lead the Group’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment with Vocus’ strategic goals
- Financial Modelling: Build, refine, and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business performance, assess investment opportunities, and inform strategic decision-making; Build and develop the Vocus Corporate model for the upcoming new acquisition.
- Integration: Assist with the integration of the TPG financials, systems and reporting on the performance of the integration.
- System Development: Ownership and development of budgeting, forecasting and reporting tools - Adaptive Insights.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with senior leadership across the business to provide financial analysis and advice that supports decision-making and drives business performance. Key partners include the CFO and GM Peformance & Planning.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve FP&A processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead complex initiatives and shape the teams agenda. Builds/develop team capability and talent.

What you’ll bring to this role
- 10+ years Finance experience in FP&A and or business modelling.
- Advanced Financial modelling experience (successful applicants will be tested)
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience in modelling utilities is highly regarded; telecommunication industry experience is a positive however not required.
- Experience in leading teams and engaging with senior leaders
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Effective use and best practice knowledge of data visualisation
