About the School

Balmoral State High School was established in 1958. Over many decades this great secondary school has provided the education thousands of students have needed to begin their careers or move on to further study. Graduates have access to the full range of post-school options - tertiary study, training or the workforce. We are situated on ten hectares in Morningside, approximately 6km from the Brisbane CBD.

About the Role

This role will primarily be working in Student Services. The role may include, but not limited to:
Perform a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature
Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, such as incident reports, issuing late slips and early departure passes, and general student services enquiries
Assisting with First Aid
Creating excursions in Compass and updating these with permission and payments on a daily basis

Suitability Assessment Criteria

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Compass experience preferred but not essential
OneSchool experience preferred but not essential
Current first aid certificate preferred
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word
Displays confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to staff and students
Is able to work collaboratively as part of a team and can build strong working relationships and rapport with a diverse range of people.
