Are you a pricing pro with a knack for data analysis and strategic thinking? Medibank is looking for a talented Commercial Pricing Analyst to help us develop and implement innovative pricing strategies that drive growth and keep us ahead of the competition.

As our Pricing Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping Medibank’s pricing approach by supporting market monitoring, data analysis, and maintaining essential pricing models and frameworks.

Your insights will help ensure our products are not only competitive but also compliant with regulatory standards and aligned with our risk appetite.

You’ll be an integral part of our data-driven decision-making process, contributing to critical pricing frameworks such as maintaining and developing the PHI Pricing Value Map, Price Elasticity Models, and the PHI Product & Price Database.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Commercial Pricing Lead to develop, refine, and implement end-to-end pricing strategies for retail products, ensuring they align with Medibank’s growth goals and risk appetite.
- Prepare detailed pricing models, perform scenario analysis, and run sensitivity tests to forecast pricing outcomes and their impact on portfolio performance.
- Work closely with Portfolio Analytics, Actuarial Services, Portfolio Management, and Finance teams to validate assumptions and align on pricing inputs for smooth execution.
- Closely monitor market trends and competitor activities to generate actionable insights, identify emerging opportunities, and anticipate potential threats by analysing competitors’ strategies, product launches, pricing, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement approaches.
- Ensure all pricing activities comply with regulatory standards, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Embed controls into pricing processes and third-party partnerships to mitigate compliance risks.

**About You**:

- A few years of experience in pricing, data analysis, actuarial science, or a similar field, preferably within insurance, healthcare, or financial services.
- Proficient in pricing analytics tools (e.g., advanced Microsoft Excel, Python, SAS).
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and a natural collaborator.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A self-starter who can work independently and drive innovative solutions.
- Basic understanding of actuarial modelling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluation.
