Our Head of Commercial will lead our engagement with key suppliers and contractors as well as leading our tendering, procurement and contracting activities to support the finalisation of our development projects. Leading a small team of procurement specialists and supported by broader teams, this role will drive the development and negotiation of all key development project agreements including:

- construction contracts (EPC, S&I, BOP etc)
- Operations and maintenance contracts (WOM, LTSA, AMAD etc)
- Grid connection agreements (for both construction and operations phases)

As well as other material agreements that culminate in contract execution, financial close and the commencement of construction for Tilt Renewables development projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- _ Engagement with key suppliers and contracto_rs: Establishing and/or maintaining relationships with key suppliers needed to deliver Tilt Renewables’ development projects (especially equipment suppliers, construction contractors, transmission companies). Staying informed about product development, industry trends, project track record, key personnel movements and new products etc.
- _ Contract negotiation_: leading and coordinating all aspects of the contract finalisation process, under the guidance of the EGM Development or Steering Committee as relevant. Manage the Tilt Renewables contract closing team and third party legal advisors to ensure contract negotiations and document updates progress efficiently and positive working relationships are maintained with all counterparties and stakeholders.
- _Financial Close and handover_: Assistance in driving lender and investor due diligence process. Integration of financier and bankability requirements into project agreements. Assistance with _preparation of board packs necessary for equity final investment decision (FID). Co-ordination of document execution and then “Transaction Bible”._
- _Collaboration with other Tilt commercial teams:_ Work closely with other Tilt commercial teams, especially the Customer and Energy Markets team to support their efforts in securing PPAs for development projects, and the Corporate Development team to support their efforts in assessing and pursing M&A and partnership opportunities.
- _ Development project economics_: shared ownership with the financial modelling team of inputs to the project cost assumptions within Assumption Books. Work closely with financial modelling team to drive optimised outcomes for development projects.
- _ Contract with NSPs or AEMO_: engaging with TNSPs to work out the transmission service contract/agreements for development projects
- _ Networking and engagement with industry participants generall_y: Staying informed about industry trends, global and macro factors influencing Australia’s energy transition, key competitor activities etc.
- _Health, safety and environmen_t: Ensure all company HSE policies are adhered to in own work and are included in project tendering and contract negotiation processes with external parties.
- _Financial management_: Ensure all company cost control and financial management policies are adhered to as relevant to role. Lead and manage project tendering and contract negotiations with a mindset of achieving best value for Tilt Renewables whilst also acknowledging counterparties also need to make a sustainable return to successfully deliver projects.

**Your background**

As a senior leader within Tilt Renewables development business, success in this role will require extensive experience and a proven track record in bringing NEM connected Australian renewable energy projects through to Financial Close and into construction:

- minimum graduate level degree in Engineering, Law or Finance or other relevant qualifications. Post graduate qualifications in a relevant field are favourable
- direct experience with a project developer, financier, legal practice, utility, OEM, construction contractor or related, field performing procurement and contracting roles for Australian renewable energy projects
- senior level experience within the energy sector with direct responsibility leading the negotiation and agreement of key project contracts and commercial agreements for Australian renewable energy projects
- Comprehensive understanding of the commercial, legal and technical principles that underpin delivery agreements for Australian renewable energy projects. This includes up to date information about market standard risk allocation, performance requirements, bankability needs and other issues critical to the effectiveness of project agreements.
