Greenfield project to uplift and deploy Disaster Recovery initiative.
**Your new company**
Joining a well-established organisation with a complex technology landscape, you will support the IT Disaster Recovery Manager in uplift initiatives so that the organisation’s critical IT services can be recovered in the event of a disaster.
**What you will be doing**
- Work with other members of the organisation to identify critical IT systems and infrastructure that must be recovered quickly in the event of a disaster.
- Develop and maintain procedures and protocols for restoring IT systems and infrastructure in the event of a disaster, including disaster recovery testing and simulations.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure that backup and recovery systems are in place and functioning as expected.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the disaster recovery plan, including policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Provide training and support to IT staff and other stakeholders on disaster recovery processes and procedures.
- Maintain a current understanding of industry best practices and emerging technologies related to disaster recovery.
**What we are looking for**
- Experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans and assisting in recovery efforts in response to actual disasters/disruptive events.
- Experience in coordinating disaster recovery exercises.
- Understanding of IT systems, networking, and cloud computing, as well as backup and recovery strategies and tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders including technical staff and external partners.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Business and technical writing skills.
- Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations related to disaster recovery and business continuity.
