What You'll Do
The
Disaster Recovery Lead
is responsible for designing, executing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation's technology disaster recovery plans. This role ensures that critical systems and services can be restored promptly and effectively in the event of disruption, minimising business impact and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
In this role, you'll:
- Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) plans and procedures across all technology critical systems.
- Identify and assist with the Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to develop procedures and disaster recovery processes that are effective in meeting the Business' requirements.
- Lead regular technology DR testing and simulations to validate readiness.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to identify recovery objectives and dependencies.
- Ensure alignment of technology DR plans with business continuity planning.
- Monitor emerging technology risks and update recovery protocols accordingly.
- Provide leadership during actual technology disaster recovery events, ensuring timely restoration of services.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for audits and compliance reviews.
- Train and educate stakeholders on technology DR protocols and responsibilities.
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in technology disaster recovery planning and execution within complex IT environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud platforms, and application architectures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams.
