The Statistics and Resourcing Officer role is an ongoing role within the Committee Office. The Office of the Clerk Assistant (Committees) provides resourcing, policy and administrative support to the wider Committee Office.
**About the role**
The Statistics and Resourcing Officer, Office of the Clerk Assistant (Committees), works in a small team under the general direction of the Director, Committee Support, to support the broader Committee Office’s activities, including on training, development and workforce planning, and provide input into governance assurance and reporting functions of the Committee Office.
This position collates and maintains statistics on parliamentary committees and provides research and project support to the Office of the Clerk Assistant (Committees). This position supports workforce planning and the management of recruitment, induction, and training and development within the Committee Office. This position is expected to take leadership in training and developing administrative staff in the Committee Office, including on information technology systems, parliamentary procedure and statistical reporting. The work of the office is variable, including periods of heavy workload and short deadlines.
The department is committed to leadership at all levels and there is an expectation that all staff are able to demonstrate leadership in their professional experience.
