- City- Melbourne- Department- CultureVerse- Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a Full Time Language Services Coordinator to join CultureVerse and our mission of using communications campaigns to ensure every Australian in our diverse community is included and represented.
We are the specialist multicultural communications arm of Think HQ, a full-service agency committed to creating inclusive communications, and working on projects that produce positive outcomes. We work closely alongside a range of experts, from public relations to creative to First Nations engagement.
In this role you’ll be responsible for managing the timely flow of all localisation project actions from initiation to delivery. You will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, working with all stakeholders to ensure that projects meet customer expectations, budget and time requirements.
- About the roleSome of the tasks you'll be responsible for as Language Services Coordinator include:
- Ensure translations and checking jobs are initiated and finished within set deadlines.
- Liaise with translators and other vendors to secure translation works.
- Coordinate localisation with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality outcomes.
- Support and guide vendors throughout translation services, remaining flexible as requirements change
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and Quality Control to ensure that all jobs have been completed correctly. This includes all translations, revisions of translations, graphic layouts, video captioning and all other ad-hoc work as required.
- Provide vendors with clear instructions and set expectation of outcome.
- Provide contextual notes to vendors to ensure the source message is well-understood.
- Proactively identify and address problems with translators and translation, escalating concerns and issues to the Localisation Director as necessary.
- Support Localised Production projects by booking talent and managing production schedule and talent.

- About you- Studying towards, or an interest in linguistics and/or translation and interpretation
- Knowledge of additional languages other than English
- You have a strong quality focus and are able to do precise, accurate work under pressure.
- You have excellent organisational skills and proven abilities in project management.
- You are able to manage several projects simultaneously and respond to changes in work priorities and/or project schedules in a flexible and responsive manner.
- You have excellent communication skills.
