**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are seeking Disability Support Workers to join our growing team in Western Sydney. You will provide support for people with a disability to live independently and maintain their best possible social wellbeing. You will support our customers to achieve their personal goals and to live satisfying lives in our community.

**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Supporting our customers to achieve their goals
- Assisting our customers with daily personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, feeding, etc.
- Assisting participants with daily living tasks including light household tasks, meal preparation, etc.
- Maintain & establish links to community
- Partaking in social and community access (e.g., attending social activities, going for walks, etc.)
- Promoting independent decision making
- Work within the principles of person-centred practice

You are a passionate and dedicated individual who is looking to make a difference in the community. As a people person, you pride yourself on exceptional customer service whilst ensuring customers achieve their goals and aspirations.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of customers
- Experience working with young participants with complex support needs (e.g., scoliosis, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, non-verbal, etc.)
- Driven, compassionate, reliable & committed
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn
- Flexibility with shifts
- Must be available Monday to Friday (8am-2pm)
- Additional shifts may become available
- Spanish speaking (essential)

**WHAT YOU NEED**:

- Current driver's licence and vehicle (essential)
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screen (or ability to obtain one is essential)
- NDIS Module 1 (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willing to obtain)

Pay: $22.87 - $48.68 per hour

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
