About the role:
We’re seeking a Procurement Manager - Operational Technology who will be responsible for end-to-end Procurement across the Intelligent Transport Systems spend categories.

You’ll join an innovative team, who look after categories including both operating and capital expenditure on areas such as Tolling, Surveillance, Road User Communications and Control systems. Systems include hardware, software and services.

Day-to-day, you will:
- Understanding the Intelligent Transport Systems business unit objectives and desired outcomes- Leading the end-to-end Procurement process in accordance with company procedures, including stakeholder engagement, strategy development, baseline validation, tender management, supplier negotiations, contract finalization, risk management and supply chain visibility- Development, implementation & ongoing management of category management plans for Intelligent Transport Systems related spend categories- Negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value solutions- Consolidating the supplier base through negotiating appropriate commercial supplier arrangements and/or strategic partnerships- Implementation of strategic relationship management for nominated suppliers, including formal supplier performance reviews- Achieving defined cost savings and other value add initiatives- Developing strong relationships with internal teams and senior leaders

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
- Bachelor’s degree required (business or operational background preferred)- Vast procurement experience, with several years managing end to end procurement in a similar industry e.g, Mining, Oil and Gas, Energy, Infrastructure- In depth sourcing experience (preferably Operational Technology or Technology related) and proven proficiency managing major spend categories- Superior knowledge of the entire sourcing process & skilled with technology based systems including spend analytics- Track record of contributing to evolution of supply chain processes, and/or continuous improvement of strategic sourcing and category management programs- Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem solving capabilities- Proven negotiation and contract management skills; including a strong understanding of business and legal terms & conditions- A strong communicator, relationship builder and influencer and have the ability to navigate toward win:win outcomes
