Our Ground Transportation (GTS) business is a global leader in smart transportation. We partner closely with state and local governments as well as global transport operators to provide integrated Electronic and IT solutions for national railways and urban transport operators.

**About Your Role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Procurement Manager for the GTS business for all procurement aspects related to the successful delivery of all the GTS Programs in Australia.

This role will be responsible for providing the best procurement solution by engaging early in the bid phase, in order to optimise the solution and propose innovative supply chain approaches.

This role would be based out of our Sydney Olympic Park office as part of a Hybrid working model and report directly to the General Manager of the GTS business.

**Your key responsibilities in this role will include**:

- Partnering with key stakeholders for all projects to assess the needs and requirements from a procurement perspective
- Defining and executing a clear procurement strategy for systems and sub-systems of all programs
- Actively source, assess and qualify potential suppliers
- Conducting market research for demand of similar procurement activities in Australia
- Leading the tendering process for bids and projects by offering superior procurement expertise
- Management of supplier performance
- Monitoring and reporting of procurement tasks and costs
- Ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are considered and followed

**How about you?**

To be successful in the role we are looking for an experienced and personable Procurement expert to also ideally possess the following:

- Bachelor degree in Logistics/Business/Engineering
- Highly experienced in procurement or strategic sourcing within a high-tech environment (Rail/Ground Transportation highly desirable)
- Previous experience dealing with Bid and Proposal procurement activities
- Strong experience with senior key stakeholder management
- Experienced with negotiating and managing contract spends of up to $10M
- Track record of bringing value and ability to capture innovation
