**About Student and Scholarly Services and the University Colleges and Residential Life portfolio**
Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff.
The University Colleges and Residential Life portfolio is a newly created portfolio in Student and Scholarly Services that brings together all University-owned residential accommodation, including colleges, halls and accommodation facilities. This includes International House, Medley Hall, Lisa Bellear House, Little Hall, the University Apartments and the Lofts at Melbourne Connect, as well as functions in the former Student Accommodation Unit.
**About the Role**
As the Residential Academic Programs Coordinator, you will provide assistance to the Dean of Academic Programs and the Head of Little Hall with the planning, development and delivery of the Hall’s Residential Academic Programs.
You will work closely with the Dean of Academic Programs to support the operational delivery of the program activities, including the tutorial program and academic enrichment events.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in developing and implementing the residential academic program to enhance the academic success, career readiness, wellbeing, social connectedness, and civic responsibility of the residents
- Work closely with the Dean of Academic Programs, Head, Little Hall, UniLodge’s Residential Life Manager, and other Residential Programs Managers, to optimise the quality of experience for the residents
- Ensure programs reflect the University's priorities
- Support academic and professional staff and guest speakers involved in delivering these activities
**About You**
You will have the demonstrated ability to contribute towards problem solving, and the ability to think flexibly with a continuous improvement and agile mindset.
You will also have high level communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including undergraduate and graduate students. You will be collaborative with the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships and influence optimal outcomes for students, the residences and the University.
You will also have:
- Relevant post graduate qualifications (or be able to demonstrate progress towards post-graduate qualifications) in any field, as befits an appointment at Level A or B level
- An understanding of the role of academic skills programs in improving student outcomes
- Proven ability to work closely and productively with undergraduate and postgraduate university students
- Experience working, or a significant interest in, residential student life
- To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check._
