- Coordinate and provide academic leadership for the Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Biomedical Science Honours (BScHons) and Master of Biomedical Science (MBiomedSc) programs within the Department of Paediatrics.
- Contribute to nurturing the next generation of biomedical researchers by overseeing key academic programs, fostering student development, and collaborating with leading research institutes within the prestigious Melbourne Children's Campus.

**About the Role**
Th Academic Coordinator - Honours, will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the BScHons and MBiomedSc programs.

In this position, you will oversee the coordination, teaching, assessment, and evaluation of these programs, working closely with supervisors from the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) and the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) to ensure an exceptional educational experience for students.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating the organisation and delivery of the programs, including project collection, student selection, assessment, and evaluation.
- Liaising with and engaging student supervisors primarily located at MCRI and RCH.
- Leading assessment procedures and communicating results to students and the University.
- Contributing to the successful evaluation of programs and recruitment of student cohorts.

**Who We Are Looking For**
You will be an accomplished academic with a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field, combined with experience in supervising coursework and higher degree research students.

You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with key stakeholders, both internal and external. Additionally, you excel in mentoring and guiding students, with excellent organisational and time management abilities.

It would also be advantageous if you also have:

- A research profile at a national level, as evidenced by a strong publication record in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and success in obtaining research funding.
- Postgraduate teaching experience in a relevant area.
