**What’s the role?**

The Financial Crime Surveillance (FCS) team is part of Westpac’s Risk Division and responsible for detecting, deterring and fighting financial crime. This role is part of the first line of defence for financial crime related risks such as anti-money laundering, sanctions, KYC and customer due diligence.

Key to this role's success is strong attention to detail, effective communication and problem-solving skills, ability to build relationships to support the business operating model of your jurisdiction. In this role you will, manage various regulatory obligations and or international regimes and conduct the required due diligence activities.

**What do I need?**
- 3+ year(s) of experience in an operational team
- Proven ability to conduct thorough and systematic investigations into financial crime, including gathering and analysing evidence and preparing detailed reports.
- In-depth knowledge of financial crime regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
- Understanding of Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Finance legislation and processes specifically related to completion of customer investigations arising from AML alerts (Ideal but not mandatory)
- Experience in conducting investigations arising from AML alerts (Ideal but not mandatory)
