**The Opportunity**

The Governance and Compliance Specialist is responsible for complying with Right Fit for Risk Accreditation under the guidance of the Quality and Compliance Team. The position will conduct internal audits and write policies to ensure compliance and attend internal and external audits.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Coordinates activities and tasks to achieve required standards for the organisation’s accreditation under ISO27001:2013 Information Security Management Systems, and the Department's Right Fit For Risk program and participating in these internal and external audits
- Reviews and updates the organisation’s cyber security program relevant to cyber threats and cyber security opportunities
- Review Information Technology Risks and risks associated with the ISO27001 and Right Fit for Risk Accreditation
- Ensure that the ISMS is updated to comply with government standards for all entities
- The monitors cyber security measurement metrics and key performance indicators for their organisation.
- Attendance at cyber security steering committee or advisory board
- Involved in cyber security incident triage and resolution
- Contributes to disaster recovery and incident management
- Promoting a quality culture within the business and assisting employees to understand their responsibilities for compliance
- Developing and implementing systems and processes for frontline staff to ensure compliance
- Communicate with the relevant program Executive Director and Managers in relation to compliance

**What sets you apart from the rest?**
- Proven experience in ICT roles of equivalent nature
- Understanding of the relevant Department contractual guidelines; preferred but not essential.
- Advanced IT skills
- Knowledge of ISO27001 concerning writing policy, implementing, auditing and review of requirements
- Project Management of Information Technology Projects both internal and external to the organisation
- Degree (or higher) in ICT/Business or equivalent
