**In the role of Principal Planner you will**:
**Accountabilities include**:

- Provide high level technical advice and support to the Manager in relation to development assessment matters.
- Instigate policy and legislative improvements and provide input into the preparation of polices, codes and technical guidelines relating to the department's transport interests in development assessment.
- Identify and provide key learnings in relation to development assessments to relevant areas of the department.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding development assessment matters.
- Foster effective working relationships with clients and key stakeholders and represent the division on relevant working groups and forums as required.
- Ensure records management processes are maintained for all correspondence.
- Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
- Working as part of an innovative team promoting continual improvement in the way we do our business.

This position reports to the Manager (Development Compliance and Support).
