About the Role

About The Opportunity

Service Stream are seeking a Strategic Asset Manager to join our Transport Division. A pipeline of new projects and renewal of existing contracts has formalised the need for this newly created senior role, that will be responsible for overseeing ongoing development of asset management systems and providing the strategic and tactical inputs to current and future road and tunnel infrastructure projects.

This opportunity will suit an O&M experienced asset management professional with a consultative approach and passion for delivering positive client and business outcomes.

Nature of position: Permanent, full time

Location: Sydney NSW, Melbourne VIC or Brisbane QLD

Reporting Line: Strategy & Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will contribute to the company’s Asset Management offering, particularly in setting up and managing operations and maintenance contracts to ensure best practice implementation in accordance with evolving needs.
- Lead team to develop and maintain corporate asset management framework
- Provide guidance to the business on the appropriate policies, procedures and practices required to deliver the Services in line with ISO 55001
- Ongoing coaching and development of business asset management capability
- Engage with key client representatives for asset management needs analysis and goals
- Work with the business to support client’s goals
- Lead asset management strategies and solutions for new business opportunities
- Coordinate and oversee design engineering activities including design phase, client approval, and providing recommendations to ensure delivery of quality and profit objectives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record and extensive experience in asset management associated with operations and maintenance contracts. We are seeking a hands-on Leader who has a knack for building strong relationships and instilling confidence with stakeholders, whilst taking the business on the asset management ‘journey’. You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering and/or technical design discipline,
- Expert knowledge of the asset management and construction industry and / or design engineering principles, guidelines, and developments, including laws and regulations.
- Experience in using technical design tools and/or software packages such as CAD software and drafting techniques and Autodesk Architectural Desktop is highly regarded
- Technical, analytical, and organisational skills to support the implementation of organisational policies and engineering operations
- Highly developed commercial skills, complex problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement ability, with strong influencing skills and natural propensity to quickly foster working relationships
- Organised approach to work with excellent prioritisation & time management skills
