**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Manage and coordinate major policies, projects, and reporting requirements within the IET Strategy on behalf of the Executive Director to ensure objectives are met
- Research, prepare and/or coordinate submissions, briefing notes, reports and correspondence on complex policy issues, business priorities and operational issues including matters for discussion with the Minister, Senior executives, and other key public and private sector stakeholders
- Manage and supervise the data and research officer to provide up to date data and market intelligence reports for the sector, and coordination of internal briefs.
- Lead and manage Study Queensland's governance groups to support achievement of strategic outcomes and support Study Qld involvement in cross Government Working Groups
- Manage risks and opportunities which may impact on the IET strategy and/or broader TIQ strategy and provide advice and guidance on national policy settings and data management
- Lead and influence key stakeholders to develop education and training market development initiatives by providing high quality specialist advice, market intelligence and building commitment to long term growth
- Develop and foster effective relationships with key stakeholders across local, state and federal agencies and industry and advocate for Queensland's interests and negotiate effective outcomes that continue to build commitment to the sector
- Establish and maintain effective communication strategies, protocols, stakeholder negotiation and liaison activities across cultures and other private and public sector organisations
- Influence whole of government policy initiatives focused on best practice in international education and training and monitor current industry and sector trends, in the support of supply and demand of new critical developments and emerging opportunities
