**About the Role**:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers that to respond to educational issues at a national and state level
- Develop written responses for briefing materials, submissions, papers, reports and correspondence
- Participate in the development of departmental policy advice to related to the Prep to Year 10 Australian Curriculum and updates to P-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework.
- Create and deliver high quality resources that support the ongoing implementation of the Australian Curriculum and systematic curriculum delivery
- Liaise with and build positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake other duties as required to enable Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Unit objectives to be achieved.

Highly desirable skills and experience;
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the Department's strategic plans and policies, Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student and the P-12 Curriculum, assessment and reporting framework.
- High level written, spoken and digital communication skills including the ability to create high quality resources materials and a demonstrated ability to deliver digitally.
- Experience working on complex projects to achieve required outcomes within set timeframes and on budget.
- Expertise in assessment and pedagogy.
- A current Queensland Teacher Registration would be highly desirable.
