We are a World School of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program.

The College is seeking a Gifted & Talented Specialist Teacher to work with our Junior School to focus on the enhancement of teaching and learning for gifted and talented students. This is a part-time role (approx. 0.7 FTE), offered as a two-year maximum term appointment with the possibility of permanency thereafter.

** Responsibilities related to this position include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Working in consultation with the key leadership positions to focus on the enhancement of teaching and learning for gifted and talented students.
- Identifying, tracking, supporting and providing opportunities for gifted and talented students.
- Liaising with internal staff and external providers to build extensive extra-curricular enhancement programmes.
- Mentoring Junior School staff as a pedagogical leader

** The successful applicant will have**:

- A Bachelor of Education or a degree qualification supported by a Post Graduate Diploma of Education
- Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children check (or the ability to obtain)
- Mini-Certificate of Gifted and Talented Education (Mini-COGE) or equivalent professional learning
- Current TRBWA Membership
- A commitment to providing students with a safe, supportive and respectful environment.
