**Your new company**

Our client is a global cookware company, regarded as a pioneer in healthy ceramic non-stick cookware. They are vertically integrated, allowing them to manage both the production and distribution of their products. They have sales offices in Europe, United States and APAC as well as state-of-the-art production facilities in Korea, China and Europe. Their products have high quality standards (e.g. ISO-certificates) and a low environmental impact. Following significant business growth, they now have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join the team in Melbourne.

**Your new role**
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Country Manager Australia & New Zealand, you will be responsible for the management and development of existing and new key accounts in order to achieve profitable sales growth across Australia and New Zealand. You will build strategic key customer relationships with national and independent accounts within the wholesale retail sector. You will identify and develop new business opportunities, anticipate needs, and tailor initiatives to generate growth. Job Responsibilities:

- Translating the predefined sales objectives for the assigned region into clear targets to achieve the overarching objectives. Take ownership of account’s P&L and meet assigned expectations for profitability.
- Take ownership of yearly sales forecasts, split by month and by account. Take appropriate action to understand any deviation of sales forecast vs approved forecast
- Conducting regular market, category, industry, and competitor analysis to ensure up-to-date knowledge of market trends, identify sales and growth opportunities and occupy a strong position in the market.
- Formulating a relevant business development model within the assigned region with the aim of opening new channels, and retain new accounts, national & independent accounts
- Set client growth plans and develop strong marketing plans with successful promotional programmes and market activations for retail channels.
- Negotiating and concluding long-term contracts to secure attractive prices and trading terms
- Establishing and maintaining commercial contacts with key accounts/prospects and cultivating a good commercial relationship in order to build a positive and long-term relationship and achieve the projected turnover.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Ideally University degree in Business Administration or related field
- Current or recent sales experience within the consumer product industry
- Exposure with selling Housewares would be an asset
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills, P&L responsibility
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation)
- You are a self-starter and your natural ability for building and maintaining collaborative partnerships to achieve desired outcomes means you have a proven track record of success.
- Sales-driven, analytical, effective time management skills and ability to multitask.
- You are flexible: for an important deal you are willing to hop on the next plane
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you map out your own path within the assigned region and reach for the sky
- You are a strategic thinker, committed to build on our long-term business growth
