Your career at NAB is about more than money, it's about serving our customers well and helping our communities prosper. We currently have 2x permanent opportunities as Associate Director - Intelligence.

In these roles, you will generate and communicate timely, relevant, accurate and actionable assessments of financial crime intelligence that:

- Support NAB to identify and understand current, emerging and as-yet-unknown threats to the business
- Pre-empt, reduce and prevent financial crime risk
- Support NAB and its customers to grow safely

**Key responsibilities**
- Develop and implement NAB’s strategic financial crime intelligence framework, including: intelligence collection, analysis and prioritisation frameworks; intelligence tradecraft; and other capabilities as necessary.
- Generate intelligence that supports business risk decisions and helps meet NAB regulatory obligations in Australia and overseas, including by:

- Leading or contributing to the identification of risks, risk indicators, typologies and other trends.
- Providing advice where appropriate on the likelihood and mechanisms of criminal exploitation of NAB products, channels and other aspects of the business.
- Identifying previously unknown threats and risks to NAB - including horizon scanning to identify emerging threats and opportunities - and determining the implications to NAB.
- Contribute to advice on the effectiveness of NAB risk controls.
- Build and maintain relationships across the NAB enterprise, with government agencies, financial institutions and other parties that support the development of timely, relevant and accurate intelligence.

**What you will bring**
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of intelligence within government or financial sector.
- Proven history in delivering strategic initiatives or transformation that positively change and drive business performance in a sustainable and safe manner.
- Demonstrated leadership in intelligence, including:

- Leading intelligence practitioners and building their knowledge and expertise;
- Developing and executing intelligence strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifying and driving opportunities to enhance NAB’s financial intelligence capability.
- Strong intelligence experience, including:

- Understanding, anticipating and responding to customer requirements, including senior leaders;
- Collection planning and execution, including of open source information;
- The publication and dissemination of timely, relevant and accurate intelligence assessments;
- Using intelligence to drive actionable outcomes, including risk reduction.
- Professional and sound judgement, particularly in creating accurate assessments, insights and conclusions that support senior decision making; and manage competing priorities and escalations.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate simply and with influence.
