Adore Education (t/a Vibe College) ABN 66 088 173 433 was created out of the need for a student focused registered training organization, that was dedicated to the future success of students in the industry of their choice. Vibe’s mission is to provide educational training to students so they are industry ready for a career of their choice.

We are looking for a motivated accountant who is ready to be part our organization and manage the financial and accounting needs of the College. As this is in intermediate role and not an entry level position, we require evidence of relevant practical experience in the specified tasks.

What you’ll do
- Design and implement an effective internal bookkeeping system and collaborate with external accountants to ensure accurate financial management.
- Manage internal accounts reconciliation and provide precise calculations with supporting references to verify account balances.
- Utilize accounting software Xero to record and continually update data, including chart of accounts, bookkeeping, and accounting processes.
- Compare and reconcile the company's financial statement figures with Xero opening balances.
- Conduct a monthly review of Xero data files and transactions.
- Summarize relevant company data to produce financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, sales performance summaries, and balance sheets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the business owner and management team.
- Prepare BAS and instalment activity statements for the company.
- Ensure that financial report information is accurate, traceable, and reflects the true and fair position of the company.
- Ensure that reports comply with current Australian reporting standards and relevant accounting standards.
- Complete ad-hoc duties, such as preparing special management financial reports or documents for specific projects or events at the request of directors or managers.
- Plan and coordinate administrative, financial, and operational procedures and systems, and implement strategies to streamline processes.
- Analyze and provide information to support the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
- Monitor costs and expenses to assist in budget preparation and oversee facility services.
- Stay up to date with organizational changes and business development practices.
- Work together with other departments for optimal and efficient student management (Marketing, Enrolments, Admin, etc).
- Be a mentor to junior and graduate accountants and provide training and supervision.

What we’re looking for
- We are looking for an experienced intermediate accountant to join our company.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Business or Commerce with an Accountancy Major.
- Minimum 2 years public practice experience in Australia.
- Proven experience in a similar role, specifically with little to no supervision.
- Previous experience with computerised accounting systems eg. XERO.
- Previous experience with student management systems eg. RTO Manager
- Previous experience in the vocational education industry and in dealing with South East Asian/Asian education markets.
- A desire to deliver fantastic service and progress your career.
- Have knowledge in vocational education - especially with regards to accounting and finance in the education provider industry.
- Have knowledge and skills in RTO accounting management.
- Have some knowledge in international student and student visa immigration.

**Required Skills**:

- Computer Literacy in Accounting Software and Microsoft packages
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- The ability to work independently and provide leadership to junior level accountants.
- Demonstrated team management skills.
- High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication with some second language abilities.

- Remuneration package range from $58,000 - $68,000 + Superannuation.
