**About the Role**:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded family-run retail business as the Head of People and Culture. In this role, you will have the chance to shape and drive the people and culture strategy. Leading a small but talented HR team, you will be responsible for the full employee life-cycle, from recruitment to offboarding. The role will primarily focus on supporting and partnering with retail operations, warehouse, and food production teams, with some involvement in supporting functions such as buying, finance, marketing, and IT.

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive people strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
- Drive the creation and implementation of HR policies and procedures aligned with the company's goals and values.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance in areas such as recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and development.
- Partner closely with the operations team to assess staffing needs, improve work culture, and implement effective HR practices.
- Foster strong relationships with employees at all levels and serve as a mentor and coach.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant HR legislation and ensure compliance with industrial relations requirements.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Proven experience in a similar role in a dynamic environment, with a mix of blue
- and white-collar employees
- Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and inclusive approach
- Resilient and adaptable mindset, capable of simplifying processes to improve efficiency
- Extensive knowledge of HR functions and solid understanding of industrial relations, including modern awards
- Self-directed and results-oriented, with a natural ability to take ownership of team performance
- Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities, with a focus on helping employees reach their full potential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience using HR management systems
