An exciting opportunity exists for the Management Accounting Officer to provide strategic financial management and business support services to the Management Accounting team and Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).
The role is required to support the Management Accounting team to ensure the SCHHS management reporting system is structured and maintained to record and present reliable and accurate financial and statistical information for management purposes whilst assisting the Senior Manager - Management Accounting and Executive Directors to meet their financial accountabilities by preparing and analysing data, identifying trends and risks, problem solving and monitoring the overall financial and operational position of the reporting entities within SCHHS.
The role also provides finance business systems assistance including training and support.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Perform management accounting functions including assisting and coordinating with budget setting, performance reporting, data analysis and resource management including reporting on variances and investigate exceptions within a complex environment.
- Provide support and assist the Senior Manager Management Accounting in the preparation, allocation and monitoring of operating and minor capital budgets through assisting with budget work ups and forecast tools.
- Ensure data reported has sufficient integrity to meet all accountability and resource management requirements.
- Coordinate and complete month end tasks to facilitate efficient and effective monthly reporting, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in accordance with required timelines.
