
Marketing and Communications Manager

The School is currently reviewing the Marketing and Communications structure and is seeking a highly competent Marketing and Communications Manager for a fixed term contract (5 months) to implement a Marketing Plan to support its new Enrolment Strategy. This position provides an opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing the plan and in managing and operationalising innovative marketing and communications strategies in line with the St Michael’s values and goals, and which build on our highly successful current programs. The successful applicant will be part of a high performing, collaborative team which is respected across the School community. This position makes visible the rich diversity of student experiences, collaborating with staff and community stakeholders throughout the St Michael’s journey.
This is a full time, fixed term (5 months), commencing as soon as possible.
**The successful applicant must**:
- Demonstrate experience in a similar role with a strong background in digital marketing and communications
- Hold relevant tertiary qualification or post-graduate qualification in marketing, public relations, communications or allied fields is essential
- Demonstrate experience in developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve specified outcomes
- Possess strong leadership, staff management and mentoring skills with an ability to encourage positive staff morale and create a cohesive team
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate high level written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present complex information simply, clearly and succinctly to a range of audiences
- Have high level technical marketing and communication skills including:
- Experience in creating and managing online and offline marketing and communication schedules
- Creative development experience, including knowledge of graphic design, publication and media production and associated process, practices, equipment and tools and ability to create content
- Experience capturing and using photographic and/or video material for content distribution
- Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) and intermediate Adobe Creative Suite experience (lnDesign)
- Be willing to be involved in all aspects of the School’s program
- Demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to following the School’s child safety expectations, principles and policies
- Hold an Employee Working With Children Check
- Hold a current National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months)
