Location: Sydney Olympic Park
- Dragon Boat Racing has a long and proud history and is an international sport, practiced in more than 50 countries. Dragon Boats NSW (DBNSW) is the governing body for the sport in NSW and currently has over 60 affiliated dragon boat clubs in metropolitan and country areas. It is affiliated to the Australian Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF)._

What is Dragon Boat NSW looking for in their Chief Executive Officer?
- The ability to develop a diverse sport, working closely with all members to grow its footprint across NSW. Excellent relationship skills and the determination to drive and guide the growth and development of the sport from grassroots through to high performance, in line with the strategic and operational plans. _

What does the Chief Executive Officer do?
- In close consultation with the Board, you will lead the organisation and manage all day-to-day operations. Overseeing the management and delivery of a series of professional and successful events throughout the season. You will be responsible for strategic and operational management, the brand, marketing and promotion of the sport. Grow the participation pathways for paddlers, coaches, officials and administrators of all ages. Developing and enhancing strong relationships with the clubs, members, partners, government, other sporting bodies and stakeholders across the state._

To be successful you will need to
- _Be able to generate ideas, develop and implement a strategic vision with costed operational plans that deliver tangible outcomes_
- _Build a strong team, focus on development of the team and individuals, and retain quality staff_
- _Grow the sport by developing and implementing programs that promote an increase in active participation_
- _Be a strong and energetic leader who can not only lead a team but actively build relationships with key stakeholders and represent the organisation at all levels_

You should have
- _Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Sports Management_
- _Proven experience at a Senior Management level, with strong leadership and communication skills_
- _Experience within a member-based organisation_
- _The ability to set goals in line with the strategic direction, ensuring these goals are met_

You are
- _An outstanding leader, great at managing relationships and building a collaborative team environment_
- _Confident in your approach to meeting changing business challenges_
- _Passionate about sport development at both community and elite level_
- _Able to manage and motivate staff, drive results and deliver to expectations set and on time and budget_
