**The Role**

**About our Team**
The HQJOC workforce comprises a diverse team of military and civilian Defence personnel and contractors. The contract officer will work within a small team to provide advice and support to procurement and contracting activities across HQJOC.
- Managing and supporting procurement processes and practices to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Managing and ensuring compliance with government probity principles.
- The identification and mitigation of procurement, probity and contract management related risks.
- Preparation of procurement, probity and contracting related deliverables for all phases of procurement activities.
- Participating in evaluation, negotiation and debriefing processes.
- Commercial awareness, highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team and knowledge of Commonwealth procurement policies are also highly valued.
