**About the role**
The Vehicle Monitoring Officer is responsible in investigating vehicle monitoring incidents and undertaking compliance and enforcement activities to support the delivery of broader compliance and enforcement of the heavy vehicle industry.
As a Vehicle Monitoring Officer you will help to ensure that compliance and enforcement actions are applied in accordance with NHVR guidelines.
- Key responsibilities of this role are: (but not limited to)_
- _Review and validate enrolment form details and liaising with Operators_
- _Review incidents detected through heavy vehicle monitoring systems and prepare evidentiary briefs to assist in the prosecution of contraventions of the Heavy Vehicle National Law and where necessary provide evidence in court_
- _Liaise with operators, drivers and other compliance agencies regarding possible offences detected through heavy vehicle monitoring systems_
- _Undertake investigations and take enforcement action into offences detected through heavy vehicle monitoring systems_

- _Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a proven ability to analyse information to an in depth level_
- _Demonstrated ability to show initiative, tact, and confidentiality and work both independently and as a member of a team across multiple different systems_
- _Demonstrated ability to deliver both written and verbal communication tactfully to ensure customers understand the issue and what is required._
- _Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service when handling sensitive matters._
