**About the role**

The Overseas Product Sourcing Specialist role assists with the interactions between our Merchandising and Logistics departments and our key overseas suppliers. Importantly, they drive the following functions:

- Helping the business to identify potential suppliers to meet category needs.
- Onboarding and ongoing administrative functions to ensure suppliers are setup the way we require.
- Maintain oversight of the supplier operations and the quality of their products
- Explore opportunities with the suppliers by understanding their business and how we can build on this to the benefit of Reece.

**This role is responsible for**:

- Factory visits to ensure the supplier is living the Reece values and investing in the future
- Help to drive new product development as guided by the Category Leads
- Setup Trading Agreements and any other critical agreements that facilitate onboarding.
- Ensure that overseas suppliers understand our expectations as critical supply partners
- Visit trade shows to keep abreast of industry developments and new product opportunities
- Maintain high level oversight of the stock ordering and logistics performance of suppliers and raise any concerns to be addressed as these are identified.
- Conduct or commission audits on any new suppliers to evaluate the fit with Reece requirements.
- Ensure none of our suppliers are engaging in any Modern Slavery practices
- Assist with explanation and rollout of any key initiatives that we need supplier participation on.

**Ideally, you will possess**:

- Basic understanding of plumbing products would be preferred.
- Strong understanding of Trading Agreements and similar documents central to supplier setup
- Quality control processes
- Freight, Logistics and stock forecasting terminology and processes
- Ability to learn processes relating to travel and assisting Merchandising staff with trip planning, requirements and schedules
- Reasonable commercial understanding and business acumen
- Ability to learn manufacturing processes and factory layout implications and how this impacts the efficiency of suppliers.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Annual ACCC training
- Flexibility in personal schedule to be able to travel for extended periods (up to 2-3 weeks) as required by the business.
- Ability to speak Mandarin will be highly beneficial in this role.
