**The Role**
The Program Planning and Analysis Branch within Integration Division, Capability Acquisition Sustainment Group (CASG) are seeking APS5 and APS6’s to join our team within Canberra and Melbourne.

We have a number of opportunities that involve high tempo work, strategic thinking, and working across the Defence organisation to influence and support decision making in capability acquisition and sustainment. Training for each role will be provided.

The following roles are available at the APS5 and APS6 levels:
**Capability Analyst - Program Controls**:

- These positions are based in Canberra or Melbourne (CBD or Laverton) and require the ability to work from the office 5 days a week due to the need to use certain systems. We have multiple positions available at the APS5 and APS6 level._

The Program Controls team support senior Defence officials and CASG delivery domains by providing advice and analysis for capability committees, including the Investment Committee. Capability Analysts within this team are relied upon for their Subject Matter Expert advice and are provided the opportunity to attend briefings and work closely with Senior Executives. Through the analysis of committee documentation and the management and coordination of tasks, you will work in a team responsible for ensuring that Senior Executives are able to make informed decisions and are prepared for various committees. Within this team you will be exposed to a variety of Defence capability and will be required to work with various stakeholders to ensure that accurate advice is provided, ensuring that Defence projects meet Government approval requirements.

**Governance Officer - Major Projects Report**:

- These positions are based in Canberra or Melbourne (CBD or Laverton) with the ability to work flexibly. We have multiple positions available at the APS5 and APS6 level._

As a Governance Officer you will work within a team responsible for the Major Projects Report, the annual program to enable the ANAO to review and report to the Parliament on the status of major Defence acquisition projects. As a Governance Officer you will be responsible for liaising with the ANAO, as well as working with various CASG, Defence and Industry stakeholders to develop the report content and ensure that it is accurate and suitable for public consumption. As a Governance Officer you will be provided the opportunity to challenge your critical thinking skills, de-conflict issues and gain a breadth of experience across CASG and Defence.

**Capability Analyst - Various Roles**:

- These positions are based in Canberra or Melbourne (CBD or Laverton) with the ability to work flexibly from home. We have multiple positions available at the APS5 and APS6 level._

Program Planning and Analysis Branch manages and integrates project and sustainment performance reporting and analysis requirements on behalf of CASG/Defence, enabling CASG delivery domains to provide quality advice for capability delivery planning. There are a variety of capability analyst positions with roles that involve the analysis of project or product performance and the coordination of various statutory reporting activities such as CASG’s contribution to the Defence Annual Report.

A further subset of this team will lead the enhancement of performance reporting to glean insight into trend performance and forecast risk and issues.

The Integration Division plays a key leadership and advisory role in the planning and synchronisation of CASG’s work in recognition of the increasing complexity and highly integrated nature of the capability acquisition program, and the interdependencies across project and sustainment activities.

The Division’s core focus is to provide an integrated view of the programs that CASG delivers now and into the future.

The Division works across all aspects of the Capability Life Cycle, from on boarding new work through to disposals, providing high quality advice and support to senior leaders and Government. In understanding the future capability projects, Integration Division’s focus is on ensuring that CASG develops a detailed understanding of the capacity impacts of new and emerging work, delivery timelines and an integrated view of risks which enables our executive to make informed decisions.
