We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate and committed professionals. We are looking for motivated and skilled investigators and analysts who have:
- skills or qualifications in one of the following fields; international trade, regulatory compliance, auditing, commercial investigations, business, commerce, law, accounting or economics
- an ability to think critically, laterally and with an enquiring mind
- research, administrative and analytical skills with an aptitude for numerical and financial data
- high standards of professional and personal integrity in line with APS Values and the APS Code of Conduct
- sound interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to contribute to the preparation of and/or produce case reports
- an ability to form productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholder groups
- an ability to base judgement on research, facts and evidence-based practice.
**What you will do**:
You will work within multi-disciplinary teams to contribute to anti-dumping and countervailing investigations, ensuring consistency with legislative frameworks and Australia’s World Trade Organization obligations.
You will work collaboratively with fellow investigators, together with legal, policy and quality assurance team members to analyse and solve complex issues as they arise in a case. You will support the delivery of high quality and defensible decisions. You will be supported by a comprehensive training and induction program to help ensure you succeed in the role.
**APS 4 Investigations Analyst**:
You will work under general direction, undertaking work of moderate complexity and exercise some discretion with respect to how legislation, procedures and guidelines are interpreted and applied. Specifically, you will:
- provide general support to the investigations team and associated operational activities
- undertake administrative case support activities
- work with highly confidential trade, business and industry information
- contribute to the preparation of written reports and briefs, correspondence and advice
- commit to achieving quality outcomes and adhere to documented procedures, processes, policy and practice
- support verification visits to manufacturing and other companies.
**APS 5 Investigator**:
You will work under limited direction, undertaking work that is moderately complex to complex in nature, making independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility. Specifically, you will:
- undertake analysis of trade, business, industry and financial data such as detailed manufacturing costs and market prices
foster collaboration with the investigations and advisory teams to deliver associated operational activities
- prepare written reports and briefs, correspondence and advice
- participate in verification visits to manufacturing and other companies
- work with highly confidential trade, business and industry information.
**APS 6 Senior Investigator**:
- lead analysis of trade, business, industry and financial data such as detailed manufacturing costs and market prices.
initiate and develops goals, strategies and work plans to deliver associated operational activities
- prepare detailed research and complex financial and economic analysis
- prepare written reports and briefs, correspondence and advice to a high standard
- identify learning opportunities for others and delegate tasks effectively
- participate in verification visits to manufacturing and other companies
- manage highly confidential trade, business and industry information.
