We have an exciting opportunity for two Buyers to join the Project Energy Connect team In this role you will effectively be responsible for supporting the Project Procurement team with the management of awarded Procurement packages for minor and major equipment purchase orders and ‘bulk’ type materials packages in accordance with planned timelines.

- SecureEnergy, a Clough Elecnor Joint Venture, has been selected to deliver the engineering, procurement, and construction of Project EnergyConnect. EnergyConnect is a new 700 km 330 kV transmission line running from Wagga Wagga in NSW to Robertstown in SA._
- The project scope also includes the construction of supporting infrastructure, such as substations and access roads along the route of the transmission line. When built, EnergyConnect will enable future renewable energy projects to connect to the electricity grid_

Your focus will include:

- Utilising Clough’s operating standards, procedures and processes to manage the sourcing, tendering, bid clarification and conforming of commercial agreements with suppliers and service providers.
- Post award commercial management and expediting of purchase orders and packages through to final delivery and commercial close out.
- Development of Procurement tender package including scope documentation collation in conjunction with Engineering and Construction;
- Completes negotiations and prepares commercial evaluation documentation and opportunities for Senior Management to negotiate further
- Purchase Order formation of final scope and technical documents
- Issues Purchase Orders and applicable attachments via Document Control process

What you will bring to the team:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Exposure to EPC type lump sum projects.
- Previous experience with Vendor Management and engagement.
- Documented experience of managing procurement of major equipment packages for Oil & Gas and/or Mining and infrastructure projects
- Experience in expediting delivery of purchased equipment and associated Supplier documentation
- Basic knowledge and understanding of materials management systems and processes and practical experience of maintaining purchasing /expediting data in materials management systems.
