A global cosmetics business is seeking a targeted and talented
**Buyer** to bolster its supply chain and purchasing business.

As the Buyer in the buying team, your key focus will be to research, source and purchase the best quality raw materials and packaging, whilst meeting price that excels with business profitability targets.

**Position**: Buyer

**Salary**:Circa $100k (Let me know your salary expectation and we will negotiate on your behalf)

**General Job Description;**
- Responsible for developing a Buying strategy for the ANZ Region that supports the business strategy, ensuring product quality and price meets specifications and Buying Policy.
- Conduct regular reviews of supplier capacity, pricing and quality, including a market overview for the ANZ Region which highlights market movements and opportunities to re-negotiate.
- Develop supply chain resilience, ensuring that where possible, backup suppliers are in place for all key materials.
- Ensure MSDS / Specification sheets for all new materials are shared with relevant departments.
- Provide the business with a clear understanding of Supplier lead times and that the ordering builds this into the ordering process.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting that covers buying trips, monthly management reporting and Global Pack quarterly reporting.
- Liaise with relevant teams on potential opportunities that align with the Brand and Marketing strategy, taking a lead role in facilitating supplier visits and assisting in proofing the outcomes of these trips and projects.

**What you will bring to the table;**
- Strong negotiator with establishing agreements and price handling.
- Business Acumen and commercially focused.
- A business degree would be desired.
- Previous relevant experience, in the supply chain, procurement and buying business function.
- Strong communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Able to multi-task and establish a clear path on conflicting priorities.

**Essential Skills;**
- Strategic thinker, able to analyse and execute buying strategies.
- Strong project management skills.
- Creative and proactive, able to solve complex situations quickly.
- Strong presentation with suppliers, able to present well to external stakeholders.
- An understanding of regenerative principles and permaculture would be highly advantageous.
