**About the opportunity**
The primary responsibilities of the Buyer is to coordinate, lead and drive the process of selection, design, purchase, production, delivery and allocations to support company growth and maximise sales & profitability.

You will be working closely within an incredible team and supporting a variety of stakeholders, the role will report into a fantastic Head of Merchandising.

**Key responsibilities (but not limited to)**:

- Build balanced ranges which maximise sales & minimise markdowns
- Achieve budgeted sales & margin through monitoring sales data and stock levels though review of market opportunities and trends
- Maximise sales opportunities by working with marketing & promotions and social networking
- Source, develop, and select assortment to build a range that is commercially strong, regionally specific, and relevant to the customer
- Relationship building with existing suppliers as well as sourcing, leading negotiations and onboarding new suppliers
- Work closely with the production team to ensure product is delivered to the required standard in a timely manner
- Work with the design team to identify products & trends relevant to customer segment
- Develop, implement and manage inventory purchasing and product pricing to ensure the set GP % targets are met and a return on investment is achieved
- Identification and implementation of process improvement within the buying function
- Responsible for one direct report

**Skills and experience**:

- Previous experience as a Buyer or Senior Junior Buyer looking to take a step up.
- **Must have Menswear experience to be successful**:

- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- Confidence in calculated risks
- Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness
- Time keeping & ability to meet stringent deadlines
- Results oriented and customer focused
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Driven and self motivated with a proactive and positive attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
