As a Senior Windows Server Engineer, you will utilize your extensive experience to design, implement, administer, and support Windows Server Environment and services in the scope of Allianz Technology Australia. This role is part of global engineering and support team that spans the APAC region, providing infrastructure services to Allianz entities. You will work in a team of varied expertise based in North Sydney and interact with other teams in the region.

The role will focus on support for Windows Infrastructure and Server environments, Windows Server Operating System, Print and FTP, with supporting role working with Active Directory team.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Configure and maintain Allianz Technology infrastructure, including support of a variety of technologies. This includes testing, implementing, monitoring and tuning platforms to ensure availability and optimum systems performance.
- Provide support in an office and remote environment, during rostered shifts and planned/unplanned after-hours work.
- Deliver quality of service to internal and external customers
- Consultancy with internal customers on security and compliance issues.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems. This may involve new technology, simplified processes, or automating manual systems.
- Implement controls to identify problems before they impact customers and systems.
- Actively participate in process and technical improvement initiatives and procedures.
- Ensure effective monitoring & capacity planning of infrastructure in line with SLAs and internal procurement processes.
- Identify, plan for, and effectively implement lifecycle activities for your area of responsibility.
- Maintain a up to date understanding of vulnerabilities, assess their risk, and implement solutions to protect the environment.
- Provide long term strategic input into infrastructure design and solutions, while working within the limitations of a corporate environment.

**Important to your success will be**
- 5+ years of experience in implementing, supporting and administering IT infrastructure in a medium to large corporate environment.
- 3rd / 4th level support capability in area of expertise, including investigation, troubleshooting, documenting, and solving critical system failures and intermittent/performance issues.
- Strong general infrastructure understanding (e.g. operating systems / compute / storage / networking.
- Technical infrastructure project delivery experience, including quality control, stakeholder communications, documentation, and training.
- Positive and proactive attitude to collaboration and quality of service in operations.
- Advanced Powershell scripting capability, and Systems Centre (SCOM & SCCM)
- Administration of McAfee Antivirus ePO and related suite of products
- Deep understanding of Server Hardening and Security of Windows platform as well as Vulnerability Management.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and MS365 in forest across large enterprise environment is desirable
