Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Windows Server Administrator to support a Windows Server 2016 upgrade client project for a 12 month full time contract position, with the possibility to extend. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in systems engineering and a passion for structured planning and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing Windows Server 2016 upgrade activities across client environments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure smooth upgrade processes.
  • Perform pre-upgrade assessments and post-upgrade validations.
  • Document upgrade procedures, configurations, and outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during upgrade phases.
  • Maintain accurate records of upgrade progress and system changes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Basic experience with Windows Server environments, ideally including upgrade projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to follow structured processes and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Experience with virtual environments (VMware)

  • Continued employment is subject to the successful completion of AFP Police clearance check.
