This is a
stand-alone role
where you'll take full ownership of networks, systems, and infrastructure working onsite across a variety of client environments.

As this division of the business grows and transforms, the role has genuine potential to evolve into a
Director level , even partnership opportunity
.

What you'll do

  • Design and manage multi-site networks (Ubiquiti UniFi + mixed vendor gear)
  • Administer Linux & Windows servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Manage virtualisation (Proxmox/VMware/Hyper-V) and basic cloud services (AWS)
  • Support Windows/macOS endpoints and mobile fleets (MDM for iOS/Android)
  • Operate identity and email platforms (Google Workspace, Okta, etc.)
  • Keep infrastructure secure: MFA everywhere, patching, hardening, incident response
  • Automate where practical, maintain documentation, and contribute to roll-outs

What you bring

  • 5+ years in a
    network/sysadmin or IT operations role
    with real production ownership
  • Strong multi-site networking experience (UniFi or similar: VLANs, VPNs, L2/L3)
  • Solid Linux and Windows Server administration
  • Security mindset: backups, patching, restore testing, hardening
  • Hands-on with scripting/automation (bash, PowerShell, or similar)
  • Clear communicator who can explain tech to both engineers and non-tech stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Proxmox/VMware design & management; AWS basics
  • Cisco/HPE/Rukus familiarity
  • POS networking in retail/hospitality, A/V and digital signage
