**The role**

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably experienced and proactive full-time Billing Officer to work within a friendly and busy team. Our hospital has modern office facilities close to shops and public transport. This position is hospital onsite, leading to one day per week working from home once fully trained. Hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm.

**What you’ll need to succeed**

**Essential Criteria**:

- Experience in an Acute Hospital setting or Medical Practise setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Experience in hospital mainframe systems eg WebPas in conjunction with competent keyboard skills and MS Office
- Experience in a hospital billing system
- Previous experience with health fund contracts
- Previously worked within a team environment
- Previous experience with Cash Handling and reconciling
- Medical terminology
