**As a Billing Officer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to**:

- Accurate and timely billing of Medicare, Health Fund and Third Party invoices
- Field patient billing enquiries and provide resolution
- Banking and Debtor Management
- Maintain extensive knowledge of Health Fund contracts and Medicare referral and billing rules
- Problem solving patient account queries, discrepancies and proactive follow ups
- Provide support to administration team

**Selection Criteria**:

- Demonstrated billing experience in a similar role, ideally in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of Private Health Fund contracts and claiming process (desired)
- Sound knowledge of Patient Management System i.e. WebPAS or other
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and a strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as self-direction
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, particularly Excel
