**The Opportunity**
Based at our Dandenong Head Office, the internal Claims & Recoveries team provide a vital service to the wider Ventura business. The Claims Administrator will support the Insurance Claims Officer in managing all claims and recovery opportunities for Ventura. Our current Claims & Recoveries Officer is the best in the business who is committed to imparting knowledge and building the skills of the Claims Administrator.
**Keys duties of this role include**:
- Supporting the Claims Officer in the day to day business as usual claims and recoveries duties
- Preparing and issuing routine correspondence and other documents using company templates
- Assist in seeking to recover losses from third parties
- Assist in the settlement negotiation process
- Assist in the investigation of third-party claims
- Data entry of incident reports and processing of other claims related information
- Liase with both internal stakeholder and external suppliers to establish and maintain effective and appropriate administrative processes
**What we are looking for**
To be considered a suitable applicant for this position:
- Previous experience in a claims role or team
- A genuine desire to obtain a part time position.
- Superior communication skills, verbal and written, to confidentially liaise with internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Organised and able to adhere to comprehensive compliance standards
- Strong general administrative abilities
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
