Specifically, YCSS provides support to children and young people who are in the care of the _Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs_, and their families.
The organisation’s support services include out-of-home care, intensive in-home support, family placement support and family counselling. YCSS’ approach promotes family and placement stability, resulting in greater positive outcomes in the human services sector and the community.

**The Role**:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager is a newly created position, designed to support an existing HR team and the growth of YCSS, who employ over 100 staff within South East Queensland.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager is responsible for developing and executing YCSS HR strategy in line with organisational objectives to ensure that YCSS can attract, retain, develop and manage a highly engaged workforce. The HR Manager will advise and coach the YCSS management team as well as lead, develop and manage the Corporate Services HR team and the day-to-day aspects of the HR function.

**_The role is a permanent, full-time role based in Beenleigh, half way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast._**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to and promote a positive professional culture across YCSS following the YCSS Code of Conduct. Encourage individual and team resilience, validate colleagues and role model professional practices to other employees.
- Contribute to and actively engage in personal and organisational development, including professional training and development, team meetings, annual review and development processes, and supervisions, as per the YCSS Professional Supervision, Training and Annual Review Policy.
- Support the HR team’s strategic growth by helping prepare and implement new policies and procedures, undertake continuous improvement reviews, and engage in change management processes.
- Lead the successful performance of the Corporate Services Division’s HR team in accordance with YCSS objectives and the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) Standards. Delegate tasks as appropriate within the team, providing support and direction to team members.
