**HR Manager**

**12-month fixed term position with possibility of extension/permanent placement**

Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd is the owner and operator of Ravenswood Gold Mine, located approximately 130 km south-west of Townsville. Ravenswood Gold is a joint venture between EMR Capital and Golden Energy and Resources Limited.

The mine is a proven producing asset operating a large scale, low-cost open pit mine and major gold processing facility. Ravenswood Gold is currently completing a major expansion and redeveloping this long-life Queensland gold operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to join the senior team.

An opportunity has become available for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Brisbane based Head Office Team. The role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and form part of the Ravenswood Gold Leadership team. This position will work closely with on-site managers and employees. This is a demanding and rewarding position, well suited to a person who can work at a strategic organisational level but also roll up their sleeves and get things done on the ground.

As the Human Resources Manager, you will drive Ravenswood Gold’s HR strategy implementation and HR operations function in line with business needs.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**
- Lead the delivery of HR operational support and projects across all facets of HR including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, employee engagement, performance reviews, remuneration and benefits and payroll
- Manage the HR team (Onsite HR Advisor and HR Coordinator) to achieve the departmental and organisational goals
- Champion our drive to be a safe, diverse and inclusive organisation
- Monthly coordination of outsource Payroll
- Provide recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer / Board and advice to managers on all HR matters that support the achievement of business outcomes
- Analyse, interpret and recommend market driven remuneration that ensures our competitiveness
- Provide coaching and support to the business about all employee relations matters including disciplinary and performance management best practice
- Development, implementation and continuous improvement of human resources, policies, and procedures to ensure best outcomes
- Conduct investigations into workplace behaviour or conduct issues

**ABOUT YOU**
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to deliver on key stakeholder needs in a changing environment
- An appreciation for rolling up sleeves and supporting operational HR delivery whilst also engaging with the broader management team and overall business in the delivery of strategic long-term goals
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Human Resources role.
- Ability to travel to site 3 to 4 days per a month or as per operational requirements
- Strong time management and prioritising skills.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential.
- Previous experience working in a mining industry highly regarded
- Knowledge of key payroll principals highly regarded
