**About The Position**

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, this role is responsible for assisting in all areas of production, mining and exploration as directed.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Assisting in daily production duties including in pit mapping, supervision of mining activities, ore block design, production reporting and mine to mill reconciliation.
- Delivering accurate grade control models for grade control and resource development purpose.
- Coordinating design, monitor and log grade control drilling programs.
- Assisting in ore mark-ups, ore spotting and blast hole logging.
- Developing and maintaining production database.
- Participating in field investigations.
- Collaborating with engineers to assist with developing mine plans and designs.

**What we are seeking**

A team member who values safety first in everything they do, including looking out for their teammates.
- Qualified with a degree in Geology or similar
- Demonstrated experience in an iron ore mining environment preferable
- A sound understanding of open pit grade control processes
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with geology modelling programs, preferably Surpac
- Experience in MS Office, in particular Excel required

You must have a right to work in Australia, be able to pass a medical assessment (including a drug and alcohol screen) and be able to provide a current National Police Clearance issued within the last twelve months.
