**What's the role?**

Reporting into Digital Publishing Technology, you will own the News Corp Australia business engagement to define priorities and requirements as input to the News Corp Global Technology team for the end-to-end delivery and operation of News Corp Australia’s CDN (Content Delivery Network) platform (Akamai) that ensures secure, high performance delivery of content across almost 100 sites viewed by around 16 million customers and users monthly.

You will be the local focal point for the management of the Akamai platform by working closely with our digital product teams, internal IT platform teams, delivery management and of course third party vendors ensuring that the business can evolve to support the organisation’s current and future business strategies. You will work in a matrix structure with a specialist Global team alongside our vendors to ensure the ongoing evolution, stability and commercial optimisation.

Work closely with stakeholders, including our Product teams and Global Technology to:

- Act as the engagement manager and funnel for CDN (and related) requirements, to then partner with Global Technology to deliver
- Define the website content publishing strategy relevant to CDN, inclusive of performance and security outcomes
- Shape the roadmap through collecting and prioritising requirements to deliver on business initiatives
- Support estimation, scoping and delivery of relevant major projects
- Collaborate with a specialist team of developers / configuration and support experts in a matrix environment
- Work closely with cyber security and business teams to ensure secure low risk operations
- Work closely with Product teams to monitor and optimise website performance
- Establish a continuous cycle of platform improvements that enhance reliability and operation
- Contribute to the management of the Akamai vendor relationship for News Corp Australia in collaboration with Global teams, ensuring mutual outcomes from the partnership
- Set simplification and configuration standards (i.e. for caching, TTL, image and video)

- IT service management
