**About the Role**:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated **Production Manager** to lead our growing Queensland operations. this role plays a key part in driving performance, safety, and quality across production, repairs, and servicing operations.

You will oversee a skilled team including **6 - 10 fitters** working across both business divisions, ensuring **fast, efficient turnaround times**, strong communication, and consistent delivery of assets ready for hire or dispatch.
This is a hands-on leadership position reporting to the Queensland Branch Manager that blends operational management, people leadership, and strategic collaboration to support national business objectives and exceptional customer service outcomes.

**Leadership & Team Management**- Lead, motivate, and support a growing production team of 6-10 fitters across operations.- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork, encouraging pride in workmanship and continuous improvement.- Coach and develop team members through clear expectations, active engagement, and performance support to drive growth and capability.

**Production Operations**- Oversee daily repair, servicing, and production activities to meet deadlines and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.- Drive continuous improvement through effective scheduling, resource planning, and process optimisation to boost productivity and reduce downtime.

**Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support**- Partner with the National Hire Manager and key teams to ensure assets are serviced, maintained, and hire-ready.- Collaborate across Repairs, Sales, Procurement, and Project teams to coordinate materials, align priorities, and deliver seamless customer service.

**Safety & Compliance**- Champion a proactive safety-first culture, ensuring all activities comply with WHS standards and company procedures.- Lead by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

**Planning & Reporting**- Develop and maintain production and servicing plans aligned with business goals and key deadlines.- Monitor KPIs related to output, efficiency, quality, and safety - reporting regularly to the QLD Site Manager and National Hire Manager.

**What You Bring**- Proven leadership in a manufacturing, mechanical, or equipment hire environment.- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.- Trade qualification in mechanical fitting (preferred).- Knowledge of pump systems or hire operations (desirable).- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications & Experience**- Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or related discipline (preferred).- Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop, hire, or manufacturing environment.- Knowledge of pump systems, mechanical servicing, or equipment hire operations highly desirable.- Competency in production scheduling, planning tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
