Experienced Information Security Manager required for an Organisation with Head Office based in Newcastle

**Your new company**
Hays are currently working with a privately owned Award winning, Australian company who has a global presence. This organisation with a head office based in Newcastle are seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to join their team.

**Your new role**
In this role you will be responsible for Co-ordinating the organisation's technical activities relating to the implementation and management of the security infrastructure.
You will be working with IT and business leadership to execute security programs and projects that address identified business risks and security requirements. You will also be responsible for providing security communication, awareness and training across all stakeholders within the organisation. Other responsibilities may include:

- Managing the security policy lifecycle
- Liaising with vendors and internal stakeholders to establish contracts and SLA's
- Manage production issues and incidents and participate in problem and change management forums.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- MBA or Masters in Information Security is desirable
- Security Certifications - CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, SANS GISP
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively across all areas of the business.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles.
- Experience with information security frameworks such as ISO2700X ITIL and COBIT
- Strong project management skills and experience in creating and managing project plans including budgeting and resource allocation
